Family Steenvoorden & Dekker
We hope to welcome you soon at our bungalow park ‘t Eibernest!
In 2001 Tom and Ans Steenvoorden bought bungalow ‘t Eibernest. From Kortenhoef they moved to Texel, where they now feel completely at home. It is not for nothing that son-in-law Norbert and daughter Esther went after them, together with their son Lucas.
In 2016 it was time: Esther and Norbert made their dream a reality with BnB De Moerbei in a monumental building on the Kikkertstraat (the center of De Cocksdorp). They completely refurbished this and built in three luxury guest accommodations. From the beginning they also help at ‘t Eibernest, and in 2018 they completely took over. Esther, Norbert and Lucas love living on Texel. “You won’t find this peace and space anywhere!”
And then there’s this…
‘ Ei’ also refers to Eierland, the polder in which the village is located. The polder owes its name to an uninhabited sandbar where many thousands of eggs used to be picked up. No stork eggs by the way, though does a fake specimen with nest on one of the cottages that suggest otherwise…
It’s a small but cozy park. Also the manager and his wife very friendly and welcoming.
Pleasant little park with a lot of atmosphere and privacy, on the edge of the Cocksdorp and close to public transport and cycling routes. Also nice is the dishwasher that was in the cottage.
Great bungalow with welcoming owners!
Big 10 for the Eibernest. And a 10 for destination Texel, Cocksdorp.
Not for the masses that an animation team needs, there are other parks for that. All freedom, peace and space at the Eibeernest and lovely beds. We heard that the cottages have been further refurbished and equipped with even more luxury. So book again soon, and then maybe a big 11 😀
Accidentally (due to an error of the tourist office overbooked in another apartment) ended up in a bungalow on the Eibernest. What a friendly welcome, at an unexpected moment! Later a box of eggs and a newspaper specially brought. Accommodation fine clean, nice kitchen, lovely underfloor heating. Steep wooden staircase, but well secured for the children by a wooden bulkhead for the children’s bedroom.
Neat sanitary facilities, and plenty of space around the bungalow. We had a view of the meadow with horses and of course the beautiful Texel skies….
Lovely small-scale park with very friendly hostess and gentleman. The bungalow offers exactly what you need: a kitchen, a bathroom with lovely bathtub and separate shower, two bedrooms with two single beds, a living room with sitting area TV, radio and DVD (top for when the weather is disappointing).
At the front and back a terrace with seating, and free use of bbq if you ask nicely. The Cocksdorp is a nice little village where you can still buy everything along the way (plants, flowers and vegetables). The catering industry is in a lot of error so I didn’t do much cooking (I had a holiday). And then the beach worldly large and long and always different, I enjoy this to the fullest, with rain, storm, or 20 degrees and tight blue.
WE REALLY ENJOYED IT!!!!!
Very nice, the house has two terraces.
“The best holiday spot on Texel”

Nice big supermarket, very good fishmonger who also has excellent snacks and bakes his own fries, you can’t ignore it.
Very pure, on arrival there were the eggs for breakfast in a box on the table. The caretaker couple are very very friendly and helpful. The cottage was fully furnished. We also had a dishwasher and a DVD player. The beds were lovely. we felt right at home.
We have also booked for 2011.
