Highly recommended in the spring is a bike ride along the Texel flower fields. From April to about mid-May, you can take a trip along the most beautiful fields of Texel’s flower bulb growers. You will find the flower bulb fields mainly in the south and north of the island. Enjoy the splendor of colors!

For the south of Texel: around Den Hoorn.
A huge field of poppies can be found in Driehuizen, near Den Burg.
A little later in the spring, from the end of May, there are plenty of wild orchids to be seen on the island. A good place to view orchids is Waalenburg.
Wildflowers
Do you want to see more beautiful flowers? Then look for wildflowers, such as the wonderfully scented honeysuckle in the dunes. Or visit Tuinderij Texel, where you can adopt your own square metre of flower field.
