In winter, it is quiet on Texel. Very quiet… The Kikkertstraat – busy in summer and dotted with people – is a deserted village in winter. Yet we are anything but idle! There is plenty to do at our bungalow park.
Fortunately, I have a background in construction and I have two right hands (if I do say so myself). The seven bungalows could use a little overhaul again. Each and every one of them is beautifully painted on the inside. A new, fresh color on the wall, always nice. In addition to the paintwork, the interior has also been refreshed. Soon we will have beautiful professional photos taken by
Bungalow 30b has had an extra service this year. The inside has been tackled from head to toe. New blinds, curtains, chairs… You name it. Bungalow 34A has been extended with an extra bedroom on the ground floor. A new PVC floor has also been laid. The large windows have made it a beautiful light and spacious room. And so it’s nice to keep innovating little by little and make everything even more beautiful.
In the winter we are also busy with the garden at our BnB De Moerbei. I love to work in the garden, and then enjoy all the beauty that grows and blooms there. Our guests notice that too. After all, we live in nature, so we like to do something with it.
So in the winter we are absolutely not sitting still. Our son Lucas also loves beachcombing. After a big storm, all kinds of beautiful things can wash ashore. After such a storm we go to the beach early in the morning to beachcombing. An age-old Texel tradition that we are only too happy to continue.
Hope to see you soon in ‘t Eibernest or De Moerbei!!
